HARVESTERS

Christian Singles Network

Mission Statement

"Let's not become weary of doing good, for at the proper time we'll reap a harvest if we don't give up." Gal. 6:9

Harvesters was set up to provide fellowship for single, widowed and divorced Christian people; to support and encourage each other to honour God and draw closer to Jesus and to each other; and to bring others to Him. It was inspired by memories of friends who worked together to reap the harvest on the farms with me in my teenage years; and is so named to suggest contributing to building a community of strong, inclusive friendships.

We organise various social events which include restaurant meals, weekends away, and barn dance, theatre and concert visits. The events listed are just vehicles for achieving the above aims. We rely on God to enable Harvesters members to build strong relationships in which all members feel welcomed, included and valued as Christian brothers and sisters. The annual membership fee is kept low to include people in all financial situations.

Offers to organise an event are appreciated. Many are straightforward to arrange and help is available. Thanks to all who under gird the group with regular prayer.

YOU ARE REMINDED THAT YOU ATTEND EVENTS AT YOUR OWN RISK

You attend any of the events publicised by Harvesters at your own risk. We are a group of responsible adults, who meet to enjoy one another's company and various activities together, much as any other group of friends might. As Christian brothers and sisters, we will look out for each other and look after each other, but at the end of the day, we are each individually responsible for our own decisions and safety. Events are run on an informal, voluntary basis. If you require a receipt or a written reply (e.g. directions to event) please send stamped/addressed envelope.
